Taxi-Saver / Handy-Card

If you're a resident with special needs, you may be eligible for a HandyCard: you must have a permanent physical or cognitive disability that prevents you from using the public transit system without assistance. Also, you must reside within the TransLink service region. Taxi Saver is a service for people with permanent disabilities who have a HandyCard. You will need a HandyCard before you can buy and use the non-transferable Taxi Saver coupons to pay for taxi rides. Coupons are sold in books containing $1, $2 and $5 by Access Transit office. To purchase, send a cheque to the Coast Mountain Bus Company. No longer able to be purchased in person. As of February 2009, Taxi Saver coupon books are will only be available by mail.
